Diverse New Zealand regions on show at 9th Annual PCOA Conference

cinzNew Zealand will be in the spotlight at the 9th Annual PCOA Conference and Exhibition in Brisbane this November with new exhibitors, speakers and hospitality.

Conventions and Incentives New Zealand (CINZ) and Tourism New Zealand will be joined by 15 exhibitors on the 100% Pure New Zealand stand.

CINZ Australia Manager Sharon Auld says they are representing New Zealand’s diverse regions, from the beaches of the North Island to the mountains of the South Island and everything in between.

“Our unique offerings keep growing every year. New Zealand is so easy to get around, and there are so many options packed into every region. We are delighted to be bringing partners from around the country to share their knowledge and passion with PCOA delegates,” she says.

“Manaakitanga – warm hospitality – is a special part of our New Zealand story. This year we are staging an exclusive hosted dinner on Sunday 27 November, and all delegates looking to send an event to New Zealand are invited.”

The team will be dishing out tastings of specially imported New Zealand wines and cheeses on the 100% Pure New Zealand stand.

Sharon Auld says some special venues will be on show this year, including Hobbiton Movie Set and, for the first time, Auckland Museum – Tamaki Paenga Hira, and Pacific Jemm luxury super yacht in Queenstown. Other first time exhibitors are New Zealand International Convention Centre and Hamilton & Waikato Convention Bureau.

In the speaker line-up Tourism New Zealand is sponsoring international management expert Bruce Cotterill, who will present his ground-breaking Seven Principles of Profit concept. Bruce is a transformation leader with extensive experience across a range of industries. As a CEO, he has led many high profile companies including real estate group Colliers, Kerry Packer’s ACP Magazines, and iconic New Zealand sportswear company Canterbury International. Bruce will be available at morning tea on the 100% Pure New Zealand stand to meet with delegates.

A New Zealand International Convention Centre case study focusing on collaboration will be a feature of the conference programme on day two.

CINZ is launching MEETINGS 2017 at the PCOA Conference, inviting event managers to experience the best of New Zealand under one roof next year. Delegates have the chance to apply to be a hosted buyer, and participate in familiarisation to a New Zealand region of their choice.
